I’m glad to stand here to share my teaching ideas with you. Today I’m going to talk about the first period from 1a to 2d in unit 4“Why don’t you talk to your parents”. Here are 6 parts: part 1, Analysis of teaching material; part 2, Analysis of students; part 3, Teaching methodologies; part 4, Learning methodologies; part 5, Teaching procedures; part 6, Blackboard design. Now I’ll introduce them one by one: Part One :Analysis of teaching material 1 .Status And Function This unit is the fourth unit in the textbook of the second volume of Grade 8. And this lesson is the first period “from 1a to 2d” in unit 4. The topic of the unit is “interpersonal communication”. The language skills and knowledge are based on it. It requests students to learn to talk about problems in daily life and to use the sentence patterns of “ Why don’t you…? / You could…/You should…” to give advice. What’s more, the topic is related to students’ daily life. It’s not only convenient for them to output the language but also good for improving their interpersonal communication. 2.Teaching Aims Knowledge Object: In this lesson, according to words teaching and some practices, students could master the sentence patterns of “Why don’t you…/ You could…/You should…”. Ability Object: In this lesson, according to dialog and listening practices, students could develop the ability of interpersonal communication and listening skills. Moral Object : From this lesson, students should learn to communicate with others effectively to improve their own emotion quotient. 3. Teaching Keys and Difficulties According to the teaching aims, the key point is how to talk about the problems in daily life. And the difficult point is how to give advice for different problems with the sentence patterns of ‘Why don’t you…/You should.../You could…’.
