It’s my great honor to stand here and share my teaching design with you. Today, my whole presentation will focus on the following six parts, ranging from the analysis of the teaching material to blackboard design.Part 1: analysis of the teaching materialPart 2: analysis of the studentsPart 3: analysis of the teaching objectivesPart 4: analysis of the teaching key and difficult pointsPart 5: teaching proceduresPart 6: analysis of the blackboard designNow let me explain them to you one by one.Analysis of the teaching materialMy teaching material is Lesson 1 The Underdog of Unit 2 in the book of module 1, which is published by BNU. The topic of this unit is "Sports and Fitness". The genre of this reading material is a narrative, which can be divided into two parts.Part 1 tells us a senior high student, Paul, who is only 1.6 meters. However, he is passionate for the basketball and keep training all the time. Unfortunately, the coach ignored him, so that he seldom have opportunities to take part in the competition. Part 2 is a turning point. In a key match, as a result of the injury of a teammate, Paul finally grasped the chance to replace his teammate to play the game and his hard work paid off. Based on this victory, Paul attained the coach’s acknowledgement.All in all, this text describes an underdog, Paul’s road to success and compares the feelings of the coach before and after, conveying the sport spirit of never giving up and being positive and perseverant to students.Analysis of the learnersMy students are in their first year of high school, curious about everything they meet and also confused about what they will be like in the future, reluctant to take the plunge.
