Based on the analysis, the reliability of urban road network was discussed by applying complex network theory and Heifei city was taken as an example to simulate and analyze the reliability of road network under selective attacks and random failures, and theirs results show that the road network exhibits different robustness against different failures. The application of the complex network theory into the analyses of urban road networks may extend the research method on urban road networks.
