ABSTRACTInthe21stcentury,trafficjamhasbecomeamajorissuelimitingthedevelopmentofbigcities.Astheprocessofurbanizationquickens,moreandmorepeoplewillcontinuetoflocktobigcitiesinChina.Thetraditionallogisticmethodsinthecitycannolongersatisfyitsdevelopmentbecauseoftherapidincreaseofmaterialsupply,consumerproductstransportationanddistributionofvariousotherproducts.Atthemeanwhile,thecityfacesthornyissueslikeenvironmentalprotection,energyshortageandsoon.Topromotesustainabledevelopmentandlowcarbongrowthinbigcities,manyproductionandmanagementmodels,includingurbanlogisticssystem,shouldfacerestructuring.Transferringlogisticssystemintovariouslevelsoftheundergroundcansavemorespaceforthecity,thusnotonlyeasetrafficjam(60percentofvehiclesonthegroundarerelatedtologistics),butalsogreatlyincreasethedistributionofefficiencyofthelogisticssystem.Itcanalsoeffectivelyreducepollutionandconserveresources,optimizinglogisticsnetworkstructureandspecialdistribution.Atthemeanwhile,itcancatertothedemandsofE-commerce,onlineshoppingandthedevelopmentoflow-carbongrowth.Undergroundlogisticsisanewresearchdirectioninthenetworkoptimization.Asanewlogisticsmode,itisgettingmoreattentionandhasextensiveapplicationprospect.Since1990s,undergroundlogisticssystemhasreceivedthefocusofmanydevelopedcountriesinthewest.Theyseethesystemasahigh-techfieldforthesustainabledevelopmentinthefuture,andtakeitthecoreofundergroundspatialconstructioninthe21stcentury.Becauseofitsuniqueproperties,thesystemhasincomparablesuperiorityespeciallyinthecountriesandregionswithhighpopulationdensityandsmallusablyarea.Developmentofundergroundlogisticssystemhasimportantpracticalsignificance.Asasustainablemodeoftransportation,ithasalargeamountofresearchandpracticetoundergroundlogisticssysteminternationallyandhasachievedsomeresults.Inrecentyearstheresearchinthefieldhasreceivedmoreandmoreattention.Asarepresentativeofcountries,theUnitedStates,theNetherlands,JapanandGermanyareengagedinrelatedengineeringfeasibilitystudy.Basedtheresearch,thispaperestabli
