hnd申诉与奖惩管理outcome 1. Why do organisations need to have written disciplinary procedures? Give some examples of the advantages to the employer, and to the employee. Reasons: Disciplinary rules and procedures help organizations achieve the overall purpose of maintaining organizational effectiveness, if disciplinary procedures are managed well, the outcome should help to maintain standards and improve individual performance. It is also a vital source of information for management and employees, and should apply equally to all workers in an organization. The law requires all arganisations, even some business, to follow a specific disciplinary procedure when they are planning to dismiss an employee. It is very necessary to have written disciplinary procedures. It is can reinforce the company disciplinary rules. They describe exactly how management should treat people when they have breached any of the rules, and they inform all employees about how they will be treated if they break rules or if their performance falls below agreed standards. The written of disciplinary procedures are necessary to set standards of conduct and performance in organisation. Good disciplinary procedures help employees to keep the rules and help employer deal fairly with those who don't. The written of disciplinary procedures should be clear and preferably put in writing. Employer should make sure all employees have easy access to written copies and that they understand them. Examples: To the employer, it helps to meet the requirements of the employer when the employee meets the standards of performance that is expected from them. To the employee, it helps them to meet the requirements of the organisation by providing advices, guidance or access to training and development opportunities. 2.
