Book 3 Unit 4 Period 1 Starting out & vocabulary板块教学设计 主题语境 人与社会——文化艺术 内容分析 本板块为这一单元的第一课时,涵盖简要的简要的引入和词汇学习。首先,通过一些图片,教师为学生提供一些必要的词汇和表达;活动3中,教师展示了一段视频,简单介绍了三座知名的艺术城市,培养学生在多模态语篇中捕捉信息的能力;在思考和写作环节中,教师鼓励学生反思自己在艺术方面的体会,形成一篇短文,引导学生表达自身对艺术的感受。 教学目标 学生掌握基本的词汇,能够说出一些艺术形式,并加以描述。 学生能够利用所学的语言知识初步表达自己对艺术的感受。 激发学生欣赏各种艺术形式和学习本单元内容的兴趣。 教学重点 学生掌握相关词汇和表达,通过视频了解佛罗伦萨、纽约和北京这三座充满艺术气息的城市。 学生表达自己对艺术作品的感受 教学难点 学生运用所学的相关词汇表达对艺术作品的感受 Teaching contents Procedures Purposes Teacher’s activity Students’ activity Activity 1: Lead in T shows pictures of different forms of art, and guides Ss to predict the topic of this unit. Ss look at the pictures and tell the forms of art. To arouse Ss’ interest in this unit. Activity 2: Vocabulary T shows pictures of the Louvre and different artworks, and equip Ss with words and vocabulary of art forms. T shows videos or pictures of different art forms and encourage Ss to come up with as many adjectives for description as possible. Ss look at the pictures and learn words concerning art forms. Ss appreciate different art works and try to come up with adjectives. To equip Ss with relevant words and expressions. Activity 3: Cities famous for art T shows a video about cities famous for art, and asks Ss to answer the following questions: what cities are introduced, and check the answer. T shows the video again, asks Ss to pay attention to what each city is famous for, and check the answer. 1. Ss watch the video and try to answer the questions raised by the teacher. 2. Ss watch the video again and tell what each city is famous for. To improve Ss’ ability of grasping key information in a video To activate Ss’ knowledge about the world of art Activity 4: Think and write T asks the following questions: What is the most impressive artwork, building or performance you’ve ever seen? Why did it make such an impression on you? T guides Ss to organize the structure of their writing. T provides words, expressions and sentence structures that are useful for the task. Ss try to
