We Consider that Track adjustment can not be used af n accident This is a rule to insure a good design but final decision is taken with test in real conditions (See also alternative in page 3) ◼ Reference values of design rule : The seat that is yzed (1st Row for 2nd ro ssenger exit, 2nd Row for 3rd row passenger exit) is ced in worst case position for Emergency Exit, means usually in rearmost and lowermost position (<<<<<<rearmost and upmost>>>>>>). Easy- Entry function should be available once even af n accident, so we put the seat in Easy-Entry position (“Dump position”). We check the spac ween backrest and Pillar or whatever that can restrict the access. We have 2 options Either, we check if one elliptical area 300mmX500mm can be ced between backrest, pillar and door opening. This volume projected on a 2D drawing represent the body of the Passenger. The bottom edge of the Ellipse should be below a line at 1000mm from the ground Or we check that 100mm (“True Direct Value”) is availabl ween Backrest and Pillar close to the recliner or whatever in the seat that will restrict the passenger exit at the bottom.
