BS EN ISO 14122-3:2001
National foreword
This British Standard is the official English language version of
EN ISO 14122-3:2001. It is identical with ISO 14122-3:2001. It partially
supersedes BS 5395-3:1985, and BS 4592-1 to -5, which are being amended to
address the requirements of this standard.
Recommendations on the design aspects of industrial type stairs, walkways,
platforms, fixed ladders and companion way ladders not addressed by this
standard can be found in BS 5395-3. Requirements for industrial type metal
flooring, walkways and stair treads that are not addressed by this standard can
be found in BS 4592-1 to -5, which covers the following:
