随着计算机技术、通信技术和网络技术的迅速发展，信息高速公路的建设与利用为大规模的信息系统、生产资料系统的发展提供了环境和条件。目前，网络信息管理技术、数字化处理技术和数字式信息资源建设已成为国际竞争的焦点。各国都为此投入了相当的实力进行研究和开发固定资产管理系统这一新概念、新模式应运而生，并被视为21世纪信息产业主要的发展方向之一。

本论文系统地阐述了固定资产管理系统的功能及实现。实现了固定资产管理中的资产管理、类别管理、资产使用管理、查询统计等功能。本系统界面简单直观，易于操作和使用，交互性强。

本系统使用SUN公司的JSP开发工具,强大的SQL查询语言实现建立关系数据库，利用其提供的各种面向对象的开发工具,尤其是数据窗口这一能方便而简洁操纵数据库的智能化对象,首先在短时间内建立系统应用原型,然后,对初始原型系统进行需求迭代,不断修正和改进,直到形成满意的可行系统。
