It is said that she lived in the northern part of China during the reign of Emperor Sui. She was the daughter of a loyal and brave general of the imperial army. When the Emperor declared that every family in the kingdom would have to send one man to enlist in the army, Mulan’s father was chosen. However, Mulan’s father had just recovered from an illness and was unable to fight, so she decided to take his place. She disguised herself as a man and enlisted in the army in her father’s place. After enlisted in the army, with her courage and wisdom, Mulan quickly became one of the most admired warriors in the army. She led her troops to victory in many battles and won great honor for her father and the emperor. After 12 years of service, Mulan finally returned home and was warmly welcomed by her father, family and friends. From the story of Mulan, we can learn a lot. Mulans story tells us that we should be brave and selfless in the face of difficulties. We should be courageous, determined and never give up. Thank you for your attention. That is all for my speech.。
