National foreword
This British Standard is the UK implementation of ISO 7183:2007. It
supersedes BS 6754:1986 which is withdrawn.
The UK participation in its preparation was entrusted to Technical Committee
MCE/8, Compressors, pneumatic tools, pneumatic machines and vacuum
technology.
A list of organizations represented on this committee can be obtained on
request to its secretary.
