The research resu ts show that the observatory number which passing statistica significance test of Gumbe distribution is a itt e more than that of Pearson Type distribution, and no one has passed the test about the exponentia distribution. Meanwhi e, the frequen cy distribution has no re ation to regiona differentia s and duration of storm. Thus, it is suggested that the Gumbe distribut ion wou d be the frequency distribut ion type of urban short - duration rainstorm in Fujian Province.
