In this period, students first will be guided to review the main points of last class in groups, and then talk in pairs to exchange their thoughts about animal protection. Finally, students will be guided to plan, write,evaluate and improve their articles in class. During the writing process, students are expected to mainly employ the information and useful expressions acquired in the last class and their own ideas to write an article calling for animal protection. What In this section, there is a news report about how human activities are harming animals, and a video about protecting animals. Finally, some writing guidance is offered on how to write an article for the school newspaper calling for everyone to protect animals. Why Nowadays, animals get badly harmed and some of them have gone extinct because of human activities. It is necessary that people should realize the seriousness of the problem and do something practical to help protect animals. This section aims to raise students’ awareness of protecting animals by making them have a good knowledge of the importance of animals, the harm to animals done by human activities and some effective ways to protect them .Ultimately, students are expected to write a powerful article to call on people to protect animals.
