Form-1E
FY2010
Strategic Japanese-Chinese Cooperative Program on
“Climate Change”
Title of Cooperative Research Project
Japanese Research Leader
Chinese Research Leader
Proposed Period of Cooperative Research Project
Form-2E
Summary
Microbial function Forest soil Acid rain
Keywords N deposition Litter decomposition Soil enzymes
Microbial respiration
1. To comparatively evaluate the sensitivity of forest litter decomposition
and soil decomposing enzymes under different intensity of acid rain
and atmospheric N deposition in forests between China and Japan.
2. To reveal the effects of climate change (different intensity of acid rain
and atmospheric N deposition) on the composition of
Goals
micro-decomposer and the rates of microbial respiration in forests
between China and in Japan.
3. To determine the sensitivities of the fluxes of greenhouse gas CO2
from soil microbial respiration under different intensity of acid rain and
atmospheric N deposition in forests between China and Japan.
1. Forest sites will be chosen both in Japan and China. The more similar
sites are, the better the chosen is. Cyclobalanopsis glauca (Thunb.)
Oerst leaves will be considered as candidate
